PKNS Expects To Sell 80 Pct Of Its Properties Worth RM450 Mln By This July


PETALING JAYA,  The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) expects to sell 80 percent of its properties worth more than RM450 million by this July, said its deputy general manager (administration and development) Md Nasir Md Arshad.

He said PKNS has also target to sell 65 percent or RM298 million worth of properties -- both residential and commercial -- during its Home Ownership Fair with the theme, 'Rumah Pilihanku @ PKNS' from May 8-June 7 at the PKNS complex, in Shah Alam.

"Even before the launch of the fair, our staff had already sold RM13 million worth of properties, especially in Bandar Baru Bangi, Shah Alam and Kota Damansara," he said at a media briefing here today.

To date, PKNS has sold 150,000 properties statewide. It sold RM220 million worth of properties last year.

Md Nasir said the corporation is confident of achieving its sales target despite the current economic slowdown.

"Buyers have a confident and realistic view of our properties which are located at strategic location and affordably priced," he said.

The corporation also plans to sell about 700 units of residential property in Setia Alam worth RM300 million in the near future.

Earlier, Md Nasir said 2,300 units of residential property and 60 units of commercial property would be offered during the fair with special financial packages.

He said buyers can purchase a property with a deposit of RM500,a 100 percent loan, zero entry cost and a special rebate of up to RM20,000 for property purchased in selected areas.

"Our property prices are also at an average of 10 percent and 15 percent lower compared to similar ones offered by other developers," he explained.

Md Nasir said the properties on offer are 80 percent complete and located at Kota Damansara, Shah Alam, Antara Gapi, Kota Puteri, Bernam Jaya, Bandar Baru Bangi, and at Bandar Sultan Suleiman in Klang.

He said PKNS would hold a lucky draw for property buyers with a total prize value of RM280,000 comprising six units of apartments as well as electronic and household goods.
